You’ve got the vibe — now here’s how to keep it lit (literally). Our wood wick candles are designed to crackle, glow, and fill your space with scent + sound, but they do need a little TLC. Follow these tips to give your candle the dream life it deserves:

🔥 Light it right
Wood wicks can be a little shy at first. Hold your flame for up to 10 seconds until the whole wick catches. Don’t stress if it takes a couple of tries — once it’s going, you’ll be rewarded with hours of cosy crackles.

✂️ Trim to win
Before each burn, give your wick a quick trim (around 3mm is perfect). Snipping off that charred wood means a cleaner, brighter burn — and no smoky drama.

🕯️ Let it melt
First impressions matter! Always let the wax melt all the way to the edges before blowing it out. This prevents tunnelling (aka wasted wax) and sets your candle memory straight for an even burn every time.

⏳ Know when to stop
Don’t let your candle party too long — max 4 hours at a time is perfect. And when only 1cm of wax is left, it’s time to say goodbye (and hello to your next fave scent). This keeps things safe and your glass jar happy.

🌞 Keep it cool
Store your candles somewhere cool, dry, and out of direct sunlight. No one likes melted or faded vibes. Also, avoid drafts and open windows while burning to keep the flame steady and safe.

Our glass jars are one-time burn champs, but don’t toss them! Clean them out and give them a second life as storage, plant pots, or just cute little home accents. Your space will thank you.
